I drove all the way from Spokane to buy a car from these guys and i am glad i did. 5 star experience. I was running late and they were willing to stay after close for me. I ended up leaving happy with an amazing deal on my Buick. They even filled the tank before I left!!
Craig is friendly and fast with the computer work. I believe his name was Dan, who helped me with the paperwork and explained everything clearly and efficiently.
Justin was knowledgeable and friendly and in my opinion the face of a trustworthy car dealership.

Buying a vehicle at Marketplace Auto was so easy. I sent a text message to Marketplace Auto letting them know what I was looking for, and by the end of the day Craig Perkins sent pictures and info on several different Trucks. When I got there a couple days later, they had pulled the Trucks I was interested in, to the front of the Lot. Victor went with me on a test drive, I was very impressed with all the knowledge he knew about the Truck, and he explained how some things worked which I really appreciated.
I Love the Toyota Tacoma I bought, and the price was great, and Victor made it all so easy. I plan on buying a SUV in the next couple of months and Marketplace Auto is the first place I am going. Thank you, Craig and Victor, see you soon.

Glad I came here. Right away I was met by Victor who listened to me in what I was looking for out of a truck. He showed me all my options and when it came time to pull the trigger they were able to really work with me and get close to my budget. They were also able to take my Subaru forester as trade for a great price. Really felt like they were looking out! Happy with my 2017 dodge ram 1500 and can’t wait to start hauling stuff around!

We were in the market, in search of a pick up truck.We went from Federal Way to South Tacoma. No luck. On our way home, we decided to stop by Puyallup and check out the used car lots. That’s when we saw the 2017 Nissan Frontier with 120k miles. Craig came out and let us test drive it even when the lot was already closed. The vehicle felt right. The space, the power met our needs. The pricing though was over our budget. 2 days later, we keep hunting and we decide it’s best to go for the Frontier so we go back to MPA (Market place auto), and signed all paperworks. Why MPA? All the other lots had vehicles with a lot of issues and were still asking for a ridiculous amount of money. One truck had the under carriage painted. Even the brake lines have been painted over. Big red flag. Even their customer serviced wasn’t the greatest where with MPA, they treat you well and you weren’t pressured.

Now I know that every used car lot is going to have complaints and negative feedback but that’s to be expected. What has me really concerned though is the yelp reviews (On google, MPA has a lot of good reviews). It has me worried. More negative than positive. That’s on me. I should have checked both sites before committing.

That’s the only reason why I gave a 4 stars was because of the yelp reviews. It just has me REALLY worried because it’s my “1st car” from a used car lot, not a private seller.

Anyways, I pray that the vehicle we got is good and does us well because Craig and the rest of staff seem like good people. I don’t want to be let down by them. Only time will tell.

UPDATE: (7/30/2024) It’s been a week and so far, no major issues. It could go for some new shocks but hey, it’s a truck. Overall, I’m happy with it. I’ll come back to this review and give you guys one last update after a month.

UPDATE: (8/8/2024) Yesterday, when I was leaving the bank, I tried to start the car. It wouldn’t turn on. Every time I turned the key, it just made a single click. Engine wouldn’t even crank. Battery is good. Right now, it’s at a shop. Trying to see if the starter is bad.

UPDATE: (10/17/2024) It’s been a while. I haven’t had the time to post but all is well. Aside from the hiccup in August (And yes, it was the starter), the truck is still great and treating us good.

I can say with confidence, give these guys a chance! Craig, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU!

Marketplace auto was our 5th stop of the morning car shopping. Dani was instrumental in helping my grandson test drive and then purchase the car he spotted and just had to have. My husband went here to look at cars for our daughter. He dealt with Craig, and was a bit on guard after a bad experience at a different lot earlier this year. Craig was absolutely amazing. He really actually listened to our needs, and was able to deal with my husband on a level that kept everyone happy, as my husband can be a “difficult” customer on occasion. He was honest, helpful, and went the extra mile for our daughter’s needs. I would definitely recommend these guys!! One of our better car purchases ever.
